Josephine was born in the Hartley&tissier universe, since her earliest childhood she has seen the company evolve and grow. After obtaining her Bachelor’s degree in international trade, Josephine decided to satisfy one of her greatest passions, travel. Whist travelling around the world, she invests in various projects, in Malawi where she spent 3 months, she participates in the creation of a new establishment for orphans, in Costa Rica she will take courses to become an English teacher, A job she intended to do before discovering Switzerland and its incredible possibilities.
Josephine fell in love with Switzerland during a short stay. Nature and the kindness of people immediately seduited her, she had finally found the place that suited her.The nature and kindness of the people immediately seduced her, she had finally found the place that suited her to put down her suitcases. And it is quite natural that the idea came to her to create an extension of the Hartley & Tissier offices, which she now manages in collaboration with Andrew Hartley and Stephanie Tissier.
From the world of carpet and interior decoration, she is constantly fascinated, from the manufacturing process to the installation, from meetings with people working in the workshops, from architects to customers enrich and flourish this young director who invests Heart and Soul in this company that is an inert part of her life. Although the aesthetics of floors were not the most important in her studies, since her collaboration with Andrew Hartley she measures the impact of the carpet on interior decoration. She is always impressed by the various possibilities to animate a floor, which is so often neglected in decoration.
