Our designers work with three kinds of carpets: flatweave, with its characteristic striped and geometric pattern; woven pile, in which the pile yarn and backing are woven in one operation; and tufted, in which the yarn is inserted into a prewoven backing. Each type brings its own challenges and qualities.
