BRINGING FLOORS TO LIFE

Stéphanie fell in love with colour, texture and design when she was very young and started drawing and painting seriously from the age of fourteen – an obsession that remains with her to this day. Consequently, after completing her baccalaureate, she decided to study interior architecture.

While floor coverings were not central to her studies, the opportunity to work with Andrew Hartley, who was introduced to her just before she graduated, opened her eyes to the tremendous impact carpet could have on interior spaces. She was especially impressed with its ability to ‘give life’ to the floor – too often a neglected aspect of design.

Having been with the company for eighteen years – ten of those as a director and shareholder – Stéphanie’s enthusiasm for design is as strong as ever. She finds the firm’s ability to manufacture bespoke carpets particularly rewarding. There is always the stimulating challenge of creating something new, and clients really appreciate that the product is being made just for them.
